December Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Mad About You

Welcome to December's Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  Thanks for stopping by!

This month there are over 56 Close to my Heart Consultants participating and happy to show you there wonderful artwork featuring the Mad About You Stamp of the Month.

I really liked this stamp set once I started playing with it.  You could sure use for more than just Valentine's.  I could see it being used on a girls' page.

If you have come here from Melinda's Blog then you are on the right track!  If not that's ok, this blog hop makes a full circle so you will be able to see all the artwork!

Here is what the stamp set looks like:

Here is what I made using this stamp set:  A card box

Here are the Materials that I used:
CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge
Mad About You Stamp of the Month
Desert Sand & Smoothie Ink
Roxie Paper
Kraft Cardstock
Opaques- Mocha
Misc. Pewter brads and 3-d Foam tape

Here is how I made this cute little Treat box:
I cut the 3d Heart box at 8".  I did Font layer, Shift, Heart 1, Cut
Circle for "You're Sweet": Circle 4 cut at 2"
Outside circle cut in Roxie Paper at 2" - Layer, Circle 4, Cut
Hearts - Shift, Heart 1, cut these were cut at 1"

I did cut the box from Kraft CS first and then cut the Roxie.  I thought this would make it a little sturdier.  If you cut it out just plain CS and then decorate it you would probably be ok with out the extra layer.

The handle I used the top of the Roxie paper and then cut another 1/2" strip from the Roxie paper and glued together so that it covered the Paper Pack information.

You could probably cut these a little smaller if you were doing Valentine treats for your child's class.  I cut mine large enough so that you could see it well for this hop.

Here are the cards that I made to go with this Card Holder:
The above card : Pattern: Middle Ground in Wishes pg. 19
Roxie Paper Pack
Cocoa Cardstock
White Hemp
3 D foam tape
Mocha - Opaques
Cardbase: Kraft CS
Above Card: Pattern: Layered Look pg. 19 in Wishes Card Confidence Program
Roxie Paper Pack
Desert Sand and Black Cardstock
Desert Sand Ink
white hemp, mocha - Opaques
Cardbase: Kraft CS
Above card: Pattern: A Cut Above from pg. 49 of Wishes Card Confidence Program
Roxie Paper Pack
Vanilla Cream CS
white hemp, misc buttons and mocha Opaques
Above Card: Mini Combination pg 84 from Wishes Card Confidence Program
Roxie Paper Pack
Black, Bamboo & Desert Sand CS
Smoothie Ink
Mocha - Opaques
Cardbase: Vanilla Cream
 Above card: Pattern:  pg. 84
Bamboo CS
Roxie Paper Pack
Desert Sand Ink
Mocha Opaques
Cardbase: Kraft CS

November Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Cherish the Day

Welcome to the November Stamp of the Month Blog Hop, featuring the Cherish the Day Stamp set.

This is a really fun stamp set.  You can make tickets or tags.  I have grown really fond of the tickets.  I have made some for my kids Good Behavior Jars.  They think that its really fun!

If you have come here from Angel's Blog then you are on the right path.  If not that is ok too, as this Blog Hop makes a complete circle!

Here is what the stamp set looks like:
How fun, don't you think!

With this stamp set I made a Treat Bag for the Holidays.  I am thinking about giving these to my Scrapbook Club members for a special Holiday treat.

The materials I used to make this are:
November Cherish the Day Stamp of the Month
Sweet Leaf CS
Black Ink
Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel
Cranberry Grosgrain Ribbon
Copic Markers, R27, C1 & G40

I cut the treat bag at 6 3/4" on my Expression.  I used Black Ink to stamp the ticket and the Santa. I used the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the tickets.  I colored the Santa with the Copics and used 3d Foam tape to pop him off the bag.  I used the Glitz Glitter gel around the fur trim of his jacket, sleeves and cap.

Here are some close-ups of the Santa and the Tickets.

September Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Limited Edition

Welcome to the September Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.  We are featuring the stamp set Limited Edition.  This stamp set is pretty cool.  I really had a lot of fun using it and can see myself using it alot because I love tags on my scrapbook pages.  I think that tags are a wonderful addition to a page and can do so many different interactive things.  If you have come from Shannon's Blog then you are on the right track if not that's ok as this hop makes a full circle.

Here is what the stamp set looks like:
With this stamp set the Tag and the Journaling box you can use the new Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge only available from your Close to my Heart Consultant to cut the tag/journal box.  It is super simple!

I made two one page layouts using this stamp set, please enjoy!

Layout #1 - This is a page that I am going to be making at a Gathering in September.  I just love the paper and what the stamp set adds to the page..see for youself:
Close up of tag and journal box

Materials I used for this:
Limited Edition Stamp set S1109
Magic - Shuffled Deck pattern (left side) pg. 42
Roxie Paper Pack X7140B
Cardstock: Black, Desert Sand, Smoothie & Vanilla Cream
Inks: Black (Z2105) Smoothie (Z2196)
Desert Sand (Z2118) Tulip (Z2166)
Black Button Brads, Black Ribbon

I used a sponge dauber to distress the vanilla cream, desert sand and smoothie cardstock.  The flower was cut using the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge at 3".  I used a dauber to ink the flower with Tulip ink.  I used black cardstock cut at 1/4" to make the ribbon on tag.  The tag was stamped with Smoothie ink and Desert sand.

This 2nd page I did just for the fun of it.  I usually have a hard time getting out of my box.  So tilting this layout was hard for me.  I love the way it looks though.  I might be doing this more often now that I actually stepped out.
 Upclose picture of the tag.

Materials I used for this page is exactly the same as the above so I won't list them again.

Fishing Birthday Card

Here is a card that I made for my husband's uncle for his birthday.  I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do when I started this card.  I had never done this pattern before from the Wishes Card Confidence program.  It turned out pretty well I think.

To cut the Circles that were required for this pattern I used my Martha Stewart Circle Cutter instead of using the circle patterns from the CD that is included with the Wishes Book.

Stamp set: Retired set I believe from CTMH
Inks: Cocoa, Crystal Blue and Black Momento
