I really liked this stamp set once I started playing with it. You could sure use for more than just Valentine's. I could see it being used on a girls' page.

Here is how I made this cute little Treat box:

I cut the 3d Heart box at 8". I did Font layer, Shift, Heart 1, Cut

Circle for "You're Sweet": Circle 4 cut at 2"

Outside circle cut in Roxie Paper at 2" - Layer, Circle 4, Cut

Hearts - Shift, Heart 1, cut these were cut at 1"

I did cut the box from Kraft CS first and then cut the Roxie. I thought this would make it a little sturdier. If you cut it out just plain CS and then decorate it you would probably be ok with out the extra layer.

The handle I used the top of the Roxie paper and then cut another 1/2" strip from the Roxie paper and glued together so that it covered the Paper Pack information.

You could probably cut these a little smaller if you were doing Valentine treats for your child's class. I cut mine large enough so that you could see it well for this hop.

November Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Cherish the Day

This is a really fun stamp set. You can make tickets or tags. I have grown really fond of the tickets. I have made some for my kids Good Behavior Jars. They think that its really fun!

With this stamp set I made a Treat Bag for the Holidays. I am thinking about giving these to my Scrapbook Club members for a special Holiday treat.

I cut the treat bag at 6 3/4" on my Expression. I used Black Ink to stamp the ticket and the Santa. I used the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the tickets. I colored the Santa with the Copics and used 3d Foam tape to pop him off the bag. I used the Glitz Glitter gel around the fur trim of his jacket, sleeves and cap.

September Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Limited Edition

Welcome to the September Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. We are featuring the stamp set Limited Edition. This stamp set is pretty cool. I really had a lot of fun using it and can see myself using it alot because I love tags on my scrapbook pages. I think that tags are a wonderful addition to a page and can do so many different interactive things. I used a sponge dauber to distress the vanilla cream, desert sand and smoothie cardstock. The flower was cut using the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge at 3". I used a dauber to ink the flower with Tulip ink. I used black cardstock cut at 1/4" to make the ribbon on tag. The tag was stamped with Smoothie ink and Desert sand.

This 2nd page I did just for the fun of it. I usually have a hard time getting out of my box. So tilting this layout was hard for me. I love the way it looks though. I might be doing this more often now that I actually stepped out.

Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

If you have a Cricut and love it then you definately need this cartridge!! My poor Cricut has been getting quite the workout since I bought this cartridge. I can't believe how simple it makes everything. You can create cute little 3-D boxes, 3-D flowers to tags that coordinate with our stamp sets! I just love it!

This cartridge is a must have for anyone that loves Close to my Heart stamp sets and their Cricut!

Fishing Birthday Card

Here is a card that I made for my husband's uncle for his birthday. I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do when I started this card. I had never done this pattern before from the Wishes Card Confidence program. It turned out pretty well I think.

To cut the Circles that were required for this pattern I used my Martha Stewart Circle Cutter instead of using the circle patterns from the CD that is included with the Wishes Book.

This card I made for my brother for his birthday. I thought that it turned out pretty cute. I made this card by using my Cricut Expression. I scraplifted this pattern from a Cricut card making magazine. I did alter the sizes so that it fit the size of card that I wanted to use.

I stamped the flowers and the sun stamp set on White daisy cardstock and the words. I cut out each of the flowers, sun and cut the words into a tag. I used a sponge dauber to color the Kraft Border with Hollyhock.

Have a Splendid Day

Here is a card that I made for my Uncle. I wanted to do something in primary colors since it always seems like I am using pink!

The pattern for this card is from the Wishes Card Confidence program (Top Band). I scraplifted the design out the Spring/Summer 2011 CTMH catalog. I thought that it was such a cute card that I just had to make it.

I used the Fanfare paper pack for the Background & Texture Paper. I used Pacifica and Sunny Yellow cardstock. I used my scallop edge punch from Stampin' Up to make the border under the red B&T paper.

For the airplane I used the Splendid Day stamp set D1462. I stamped the airplane 2 times. Once on Pacifica CS with Pacifica Ink to make the plane darker. Then again in Cranberry Ink on White Daisy CS. I cut out the propeller, nose, wheels, tail fin, the wing and the cockpit and paper pieced them onto the Pacifica CS plane. I stamped the banner on white daisy CS in Pacifica and Cranberry. I used 3-d foam tape to raise the plane and the banner off the card.

I used some buttons that I had laying around and used some embroidery thread to tie in the middle.

3-D Papercrafting Class

Here are some cards that I made for a 3-D Papercrafting class that I am going to be teaching at Jo-Ann's. They have the design and directions and I follow them so it's simple. Some of the directions seemed to be missing on one card so I had to improvise and do my best. Oh well. It still came out pretty well.

This one I made from a cardstock pack called Linen Closet. They have some glitter papers and they are pretty but I am not used to working with them. They are a lot thicker than CTMH papers. This flower in this first card I made by using Fiskars XL Scalloped Heart Punch. I punched 8 hearts and folded them in order to make the flower.

Here is the 2nd card I made and my favorite of all of them. This paper is from the Linen Closet Stack also. It could be used for graduation, wedding or anniversary. This flower was also made from a punch from Fiskars.

Here is the last card that I used a different paper stack for called Pocket of Posies. It's a really cute stack of paper.

Chairs to You stamp set

Miracle Paper Pack

Desert Sand, Crystal Blue and Colonial White cardstock

Desert Sand and Black ink

Opaques - Mocha

I used a sponge dauber to distress the edges of the desert sand and crystal blue cardstock. I also distressed the edges of the Miracle B&T paper. For the Desert Sand Cardstock I used my Scor-Pal to emboss the lines and then used sand paper on the opposite side to bring out the lines. I used the front side of the Miracle paper pack and stamped the chair and cut it out. I applied the Mocha Opaques as buttons on the chair and added the squares with the opaques to fill in the card a little more.

April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Blessed

Welcome to the April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. We will be featuring the Blessed Stamp set. I wasn't quite sure what to do with this stamp set when I first pulled it out but I ended up absolutely loving it! You could use it for a wedding, anniversary, possibly a baptism, First Communion.

I made two cards with this stamp set. They have the same paper but one card is using the front of the Bliss Paper and the other card uses the back of the Bliss paper. This first card is using the backside of the paper pack.

Here are the materials and how I made this card:

I used the Originals Cubes and Colors pattern on pg. 11

I used the Bliss paper pack and used the backside of the grey scrolls

Bamboo Cardstock for card base. I also used Grey Flannel and Chocolate Cardstock on the card.

I used Chocolate ink which I used to stamp the outer portion of the bird and I used a sponge dauber to distress the chocolate cardstock piece and around the outside of the Bliss background & textured paper.

I used Grey Flannel ink to stamp the inside portion of the bird itself and I used my Blending pen to grab some ink from the pad to color the bird to give it a softer look. I used the Grey Flannel ink to distress the grey flannel cardstock.

For the outer portion of the bird I used a Clear detail embossing powder to help bring the color to the top.

For the looped border pieces I used CTMH's Color Ready Kraft Borders. I used my sponge daubers and inked them in chocolate and used Bamboo Cardstock under them to give them a finished look.

I also used Antique copper brads and I used 3d Foam tape to raise the bird off the card.

First Communion Invitation

Here is the invitation that I made for my daughter's First Communion that is coming up in May. I thought that I would get them finished because I always seem to have 3 projects started at the same time. Currently I have 4 and not sure which to finish first.

There is a variety of companies that I used to make this card. The cross is from a stamp set from Stampin' Up! The girl who is called "Praying Sarah" is from Antoinette's Inspired Stamp's Store. I used Close to my Heart Sophia background and Texture Paper, the pearls are also from CTMH. I used Copic markers to color Sarah in. I also used Liquid glass on her eyes to make them shiny. I really love how this card turned out.

We have about 12 stray cats that hang around our farm. Once in awhile they like to take a look and see what we are doing in the scrap room. Paper: Wings B&T paper, Sweet Leaf CS, Vineyard Berry CS & Juniper CS
Ink: Sweet Leaf, Vineyard Berry and Juniper
Embellishments: Juniper Ribbon from the Jingle Creative Basics
Glitz Glitter Gel

For the butterfly I used the rock and roll technique. I stamped it first in the Sweet Leaf ink then rolled it in the Vineyard Berry. I used the inks with a sponge dauber to distress the edges of the circles and the sentiment.

December Stamp of the Month - Amore

Ok, here we go!

I made this Amore' card to give to my hubby! He has been so helpful lately with the kids and everything else that I thought that I would show him how much I appreciate all he has done.

Here is what I did:
For the White Daisy Organdy Ribbon I took a Sponge Dauber and held the ribbon down on my ink pad as I slid the ribbon through. This created the ribbon to be Pacific Blue to match my card. For the hearts I used Sky ink and then rolled in the Pacifica in order to get the tinged edges. I used my daubers to distress the colonial white piece with the Amore' stamped on it. I used the Glitz Glitter Gel on the certain points in the hearts. I thought that it turned out pretty well. The only thing is to make sure the Ribbon is completely dry before you try tying it onto your card or your fingers will get pretty messy. I let mine dry for about 1/2 hour.

I made this little notebook for my daughter. She loves to write and since this just had a plain brown front I thought it would be nice to decorate it a little. I used Magnifique peacock B&T paper, I used the opposite side (tan) for the Circles. The hearts are the Dimensional Elements, I used cocoa ribbon and cocoa ink to stamp with. I used my cocoa marker to make the stitching around the circles.

Ths card I made using the Wishes pattern "Bullseye." This is a 5x7 card found on pg. 33.
Papers: Snowflake pattern from the Mistletoe paper pack, Cocoa, New England Ivy & Colonial White Cardstock.
Ink: New England Ivy, Cranberry & Cocoa
Embellishments: Acrylic Paint in white, liquid glass, prisma glitter, garden green ribbons & brads
Markers: Close to my Heart Black & Honey, Copics in: E00 Skin White, R20 Blush, R24 Prawn, G94 Grayish Olive, W1 Warm gray #1

I sanded the New England Ivy & Cocoa cardstock. I then used a sponge dauber in the matching inks around the CS. I used the fan brush to create a snow look with the white paint.

I also made another card using the Wishes, Roundabout pattern found on pg. 61. This is 3 1/2 x 8 card.
Papers: Baby Pink Textured Cardstock, Sweet Leaf, Grey Flannel & White Daisy Cardstock.
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, CTMH colors: Grey Wool & Blush

This 4 1/2" circle card was made using the Wishes pattern "Simple Statement" found on pg. 11. I used black cardstock and swiped it across my White Daisy ink. I did heat set the white ink. I used Liquid Glass on the bird, pumpkin and the bats.

Happy Birthday!!

Here is a card that I made for my sister in laws birthday. I hope that she likes it.

I used the Originals pattern "Background Bar" on pg. 75. I used a paper from the Topstitch paper pack. I used Crystal Blue and Chocolate Cardstock. The image is a digital image from the Greeting Farm. This is Cupcake Anya. I thought that she would be perfect for this card. The ribbon is Hollyhock twill ribbon. I colored Anya in with my Copic Markers. I love how you can blend with these markers.

I made these cards to send to my Sister & Brother in Law who went to South Korea to pick up their new son. I am so happy for them. They are bringing their little boy home in a few days.

Here is the card I made for the new mom!

I used the Wishes pattern on pg. 35 called Down the Middle. I made this a clear card. I used the stamp set Ms. On the Go. The polka dotted paper is from the Jingle pagper pack. I used Juniper and blush cardstock. I colored the image in with my copic markers. The stroller was colored with Close to my Heart's Juniper marker. The Congratulations is stamped with black Staz-On.

Here is the card that I am sending to the new dad!

I used the Wishes pattern Collage on pg. 97. I used a retired paper pack so I am not even going to mention the name. The stamp sets are Family Ties-Adult and Family Ties-Children. I used my Copic markers to color in the images.

Then lastly I made this card for the newest member of the family to welcome him!!

I made this card using the Wishes pattern Long Layers on pg. 81. I used Desert Sand, Indian Corn Blue and Cocoa Cardstock. I stamped the Welcome Home in Cocoa and then stamped over it with with my embossing ink and used a clear embossing powder to bring out the stamped color. The stamp set and the striped paper are retired. I used 3-d foam tape to pop the bear and the heart off the page. I used my Copic Markers to color in the bear and heart.

This clear card was made with the Wishes "Down the Middle" pattern on pg. 35. It uses the Twitterpated Paper Pack, Sorbet, Chocolate, Colonial White Cardstock, Sorbet & Chocolate Ink, Versa Mark Ink pad, Autumn Soft Chalks and Liquid glass.

For the porcupine I did the technique of Chalk popping. I stamped this cute little guy with Versa Mark and then used my chalks in the Autumn set of chalks to color him in. I used the Liquid Glass on the butterfly to give it some dimension.

This 2nd card is also another clear card. I used the Originals "Pretty Simple" pattern on pg. 116 to make this card. I used the Veranda Creative Basics Paper pack, Garden Green & Juniper Cardstock, Juniper Ink, Versa Mark, Autumn Soft chalks and Liquid glass.

For this card I also did the Chalk Popping Technique. I used the Versa Mark pad to stamp the porcupine and balloons and then used the chalks to color them in. I used the Liquid glass around the balloons and on the hearts on the sentiment.

Father's Day Cards

Here are a couple more Father's Day cards that I made.

This card I made using the Passages Creative Basics Paper. It also has Cocoa, Garden Green and Barn Red Cardstock. I stamped the Dad in Garden Green and then distressed it with Barn Red ink. The watch was embossed with Cocoa embossing powder. This is using the June Stamp of the Month.

This next card I gave to my hubby for Father's Day from the the kids and I. I thought that it turned out pretty well considering that I had limited time to make it in.

I used the Passaged Creative Basics Paper. I used Garden Green for my base and also used Desert Sand and Colonial white cardstock. I used the Family Ties- Adult and Kids stamp sets. I used Copic Markers to color in the images. This has to be one of my favorite cards that I have made. I love the colors and the stamp sets.

Manly Birthday Card

I made this card for my dad to celebrate a special milestone birthday. I love this stamp set and can't wait to have some time to create a lot more with it.

I used a clear card and then covered the inside of the card with Desert Sand cardstock. I then used Twilight and Creme Brulee' cardstock on the front. I used Cocoa and cut the letters and numbers on my Cricut. The stamp set is: Beary Busy #C1409. I used Copic markers to color the truck and the bear in.

This first card I used Wishes pattern Roundabout on pg. 61. This is a 8x3.5 card. This is all made from just cardstock. I used Cocoa, Desert Sand and Twilight. My favorite color combo!! The inks I used were Cocoa and Barn Red. For the argyle I stamped in cocoa ink on the cocoa cardstock. The desert sand cardstock is sponged with cocoa ink. The words were stamped with the barn red ink. I distressed the cardstock and then sponged the edges. For the watch I used cocoa embossing powder to give my card a different look.

This 2nd card I used pg. 39 "Corner Shop" in the Wishes card program. This is a 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 card. I used desert sand cardstock for the base, outdoor denim cardstock and barn red cardstock. The pattern paper is from the Back Country paper pack. Love this paper pack!! The words are stamped in Outdoor denim. I used outdoor denim and olive bigger brads in the corners. I used desert sand ink for the distressing. I also used my litte distressing tool for the edges.

Mother's Day Card

This card I made for my sister in law who is expecting their first child by adoption any day now. Even though they don't have their son yet I still considered it her first Mother's Day.

I used Blush cardstock and random stamped it. I also used the Amore' paper pack. I used blush, sweet leaf and heavenly blue markers. The stamp set is Ms. On the Go. I thought that it was perfect for this occaision. I cut out the mom and the baby carriage and pop dotted so it stood out. This is a clear card.

Flower Pot Blog Hop

The card that I made this I used the Wishes How to Book, the pattern is Top Band on pg. 100. I used some paper from the Caboodle paper pack. I used Sorbet, Tulip, White Daisy and Creme Brulee cardstock. I stamped the words in Tulip ink. The flower pot was stamped in Sorbet. The flowers were stamped in Sweet Leaf and then paper pieced after I stamp the flowers again in Tulip. I used the Creme Brulee marker to color them in. I used the Creme Brulee ribbon with scrolls. I popped the flower pot and flowers with 3d Foam squares. The scroll border was done with a punch.

Here is a card I made for a friend's birthday this weekend. I really liked how it turned out.

I used my Cricut to cut the card with the Wild Card cartridge. I cut the envelope 5" and the card was cut at 4 1/2" in Juniper cardstock. I then cut the Veranda Pattern paper the same and layed it over the top. I cut the frame at 2 1/2" and stamped Happy Birthday in Juniper ink. The words came from the stampset "Piece of Cake" which was a stamp of the month. I used a sponge dauber and distressed it with Juniper ink. The girl is from the stamp set Ms. Chillin'. I colored her with Honey for her hair, Taffy for her skin tone, Creme Brulee' for her shirt and Juniper for her pants. The rhinestone brads are from Stampin' Up. I used Liquid Glass on her lips, Ipod and shoes

Here are some cards that I scraplifted from the Close to my Heart Spring Catalog. I have been eyeing these cards for sometime and the Veranda Creative Basic Paper Pack. I just love them!

I used the Wishes Book and it was the Designer Tag pattern that I used. I used Garden Green, Juniper and Colonial White Cardstock. The inks I used were Creme Brulee, Juniper and Garden Green. I used the Little Something Stamp Set.

Here is the card that I made with the STOM. I used the Wishes How to Book, pattern is Down the Middle on Pg. 35. I used the That's Amore paper pack. I used Vanilla Cream and Blush Cardstock. I sponged all the exposed Vanilla Cream cardstock with Chocolate ink. I stamped the words in Hollyhock ink. I used the Chocolate rub-ons from the Love Letter set. I also used some paper flowers and a sparkle. The border was done with a punch.

Here is another card that I made with the STOM. I used the Wishes How to Book, pattern is Roundabout. I used the Topstitch paper pack. I used Crystal Blue, Baby Pink and Chocolate Cardstock. I random stamped the chocolate cardstock circle and the Crystal Blue cardstock with their like colors. I stamped the words in Crystal Blue & Baby Pink ink. The mom was colored in with CTMH markers in the same colors. I also used a couple of other stamp sets, they were B1339 Love is in the Air (which is included in a Workshop on the Go kit) and C1346 Family Ties - Adults . I also used some sparkles for the inside of the flowers.

Ms. Chillin' Cards

Here are some cards that I made using the Ms. Chillin' Stamp set. The possibilities are endless with this stamp set.

The first card I made is a Circle Card. I used the template "Box it Off" from the Wishes book. The paper is Topstitch. I used the Big Pinks paper flowers, Heart Dimensional Element, Liquid Applique that you can't really see on the popcorn. I used Brown Bag, Blush, Creme' Brulee and Crystal Blue ink. I used Taffy for her skin tone. Ribbon is some misc. that I had laying around.

This card I used the You Rock paper pack, Ms. Chillin stamp set and the new Spring Blossoms paper flowers.

Girl Scout Daisy Album

I am making 9 of these 6x6 Memory Showcase albums to give to my Girl Scout Daisy Troop in May when they Bridge to Brownies. I have pictures that I will put in it for things that we have done or participated in.

I had ordered a Girl Scout Paper Pack and had ordered a few flip-it packs that had different embellishments in them. I thought that it turned out pretty good. I hope the girls will like them.

My card that I made for this hop is from the Wishes book and the pattern is: Center Circles on page 117. This is a 4 1/2 Circle Card. I used some paper from the Caboodle paper pack. I love this paper!! I also used Crystal blue, Buttercup and Sorbet Cardstock. I colored in the cupcakes and serving plate with Crystal Blue, Sorbet, Creme Brulee and Sweet Leaf markers. I stamped the "Make a Wish" in Crystal Blue ink. I used Crystal Blue Waxy Flax to make a flower on the blue circle. I also used Bitty Sparkles on the cupcakes and Sweet Leaf stitched ribbon.

This stamp of the month is a must have..the ideas are endless with the different cakes.

Banana Peel Bikers

My daughter has always wanted to ride one of the banana peel bikes at the KOA in Hayward, WI. She has never been big enough until this year to ride them. She had a blast and did it everyday. With taking the two four wheelers and the camper there is never enough room to bring bikes too.

Since its the holidays I thought that I would add one of my favorite Holiday recipes, its very easy and my hubby and kids love them. They take only minutes to make.

Holiday Pretzels

Bag of Pretzel Rods

Chocolate & White Almond Bark

Crushed Candy Canes

Crush candy canes in a baggie, pour into a bowl.

Break pretzel rods in half and set aside.

Melt Chocolate & white almond bark in microwave.

Dip pretzel rods in melted almond bark and roll in candy canes.

Here is a card that I made from the Grace Paper Pack. I really like this paper. The colors are my favorite. The pattern is from the Wishes book. The stamp is from the Dream Big stamp set. I love this set because it is so versatile with all the different stamps that it includes.

Baby Shower Invite

I am holding a baby shower for a friend of mine and here is the invitation that I made.

The stamp set for the Teddy Bear is discontinued but it is so cute! I used my Cuttlebug for the embossed parts. I used the Paisley embossing folder. I also used the Animal Cookies Paper Pack and lightened it up a bit by using Blush, Sweet Leaf and Tulip cardstock. I watercolored the Teddy. For the stamped Baby I used liquid glass for the hearts.

I used the Jingle Paper Pack, some misc. buttons, white daisy ric rac ribbon, Tulip & Juniper inks. I also used Liquid Applique on the fur on her dress & hat to give it a puffy look. Enjoy!

This is from the Wishes Card book.

The style is Medallion and it is a 5x7 card. I used Colonial White Cardstock for the Base

Jingle Paper Pack

Honey, Juniper & Tulip Cardstock

I stamped the words in Tulip ink and used Juniper for the tree.

I used Honey ink for the Star and used the Tulip Marker for the balls on the tree.

I also used Liquid Glass and used on the scroll in the tree and for the balls.

I used 3d Foam tape to pop the tree off the card.

I also used one of the White Daisy Sassy Strands.

This is from the Wishes Card book. The style is Top Band and it is a 8 x 3.5 card.

I used Colonial White Cardstock for the Base, I stipple brushed the edges with Sorbet Ink. I used paper from the Key to my Heart paper pack. I used Creme Brulee and Juniper Cardstock also. I stampled the words in Tulip ink and used Sorbet ink for the dandelion tops and Juniper ink for the stems and the small dandelions. I used 3d Foam tape for the stem. I also used Tulip and Juniper brads which for some reason you can't see in the picture on the bottom right of the card.

After Vacation Creations

While I was on vacation I visited this Scrapbooking store and found some really cute stamp sets. I visit this store every year and seem to buy the whole theme of stamps that they have. I know they are on wood blocks and to me they are a little difficult to use since I only use Close to my Heart's clear acrylic stamps but I think the cards I made still turned well.

Nicholas has Down Syndrome so we held him back for another year of 3rd grade. He has accomplished alot this year and we are very proud of him. This year though he had to do a goofy smile for his pictures...I wish the schoolphotographers would take a little more time to try to get a good picture. Oh well. Next year! This card was made using the New Wishes book, the pattern is called Merry-Go-Round Stamp Set: Tender Tags #D1350 June Stamp of the Month Paper Pack: Bella Cardstock: Hollyhock, Topiary, Creme Brulee' Ink: Creme Brulee, Hollyhock, Topiary Clear Embossing powder, VersaMark Pewter Spiral Clip and misc. ribbon For the swirls I first stamped them in Hollyhock and then I stamped over them with VersaMark. I sprinkled some clear embossing powder on them and then used my heat gun. As you can see if really gave the card some texture. I did the same thing with the tags. Card Workshop

I wanted to try one of the new card workshops that is in the Wishes book. I did the Just Because Card Workshop. My cards are actually birthday cards that I needed desperately. It was pretty easy to do and I love how the cards turned out. I made 2 of each card for a total of 20.

Hi! I know I haven't posted anything for awhile. I am hoping in the next few days I will get to create some cards from my new Wishes book!! I just can't decide what to make first!! If you don't have this book yet I would try to get one as soon as possible! Jeanette sure outdid herself on this one. My 5 year old daughter also had her tonsils and adnoids out so I have been a little busy being a mom/nurse/etc.! She has been a real trooper and seems to be coming along pretty good. We are hoping that she will be able to make her dance recital this weekend but its not looking too good. She is too afraid to eat anything so she gets tired out pretty fast. I have been trying to tempt her with yogurt, ice cream, noodles and slushies but she just shakes her head "no". She says that nothing tastes good. If you have any ideas I would sure love to hear them! Well I should be posting some cards this week/weekend. I have to get some batteries for my camera first. Have a great rest of the week!

Happy Mother's Day Cards

Here is a card that I made with the Bella Paper from the new Summer catalog that goes "live" May 1st. I used the Bella Paper Pack, Simple Beauty Stamp Set, Crochet Ribbon from the Colonial White Ribbon Round Collection, Colonial White Edge Anchor from the Heritage pack, Smokey Plum ink and cardstock. I also used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder on the pink paper to give it a little texture. This card size is 3 1/2 x 8 and is done with one of the Originals book patterns. This card I used the Bella Paper Pack again...love this paper. I also used Smokey Plum cardstock, some misc. buttons, Simple Beauty Stamp Set, misc. green ribbon which I knotted then glue dotted in the center of each flower, I also used one of the white flowers from the Big Pinks paper flowers and a Hollyhock flower from the Autumn Daisy paper flower collection. I stamped the mother's day in Smokey Plum and then distressed it in hollyhock. I used 3d foam squares to pop the words.

Card for my Girl Scout Daisy Troop

Here is a card that I am going to give my 5 little Girl Scout Daisy's. We have what is called Court of Awards on May 3rd and all the troops get their final badges. My little Daisy's have worked hard this year and have done a great job. I made them this card and will get them a small gift to go with it plus their last badges. I am so proud of all of them.

Birthday Invites

My daughters 6th birthday is coming and since its a rainy day outside I thought that I would work on ideas for her invites. Here are a couple that I did using the Key to My Heart Papers and a couple of the stamp of the months that are in the new catalog that starts in May. This first card I used Tulip, Sorbet and Juniper cardstock and inks. I used some Sorbet stitched ribbon. This card I paper pieced the May "Be Yourself" girl. I stamped her in Brown Bag ink and then stamped her again in Tulip. I then cut out her dress and shoes and glued them on. I used 3d foam squares to pop her up off the card. The tag with the "Party" circle pulls out. I will put all the party information on that.

Here is a close-up of the Paper pieced lady.

This 2nd card I made is basically the same except there is a birthday cake instead. I used Juniper, Tulip, Sorbet and Creme Brulee' inks. The cake is 3d foam squared so it pops up.

I would love to use the girl for her birthday invite but I think that it would take me too long to make 14 of these because of the paper piecing. What do you think?

Manly Birthday Card

Here is a card that I made for my grandfather's upcoming birthday. I wanted it to be simple. I used some stamps from another company as my outdoor stamps haven't arrived yet from Close to my Heart. I think that it needs more but it is for my grandpa and he likes what I do but just doesn't like all the bling...LOL! I will probably add Happy Birthday under the trees and cabin just to maybe give it a little more.

9x9 Accordian Album using Amore Paper Pack

This Accordian Album was made at a Crop in my spare where I was a vendor. My Sister in Law Tracy helped me with most of it. I think that it turned out beautifully. I was going to give it away for a Mother's Day gift but am finding it hard to part with. This is the front Cover:

Birthday Card

This is a birthday card that my 5 1/2 year old helped make for one of her friends for her birthday. She was so excited to help mom and use her fun stuff to make a card.

This card has some paper from unknown paper pack. The stamp set is Cupcake Sprinkles from Close to my Heart. We used Sculpting Foam to make the frosting on the cupcake. In order to get it pink we rolled in Baby Pink Ink and kneaded it till we got the right pink. We then smoothed it around a piece that we had stamped. The stars were stamped into the sculpting foam and then some glitter glue was added to the stars to make them sparkle. Plus we added glitter to the candles and the cupcake base. My daughter loves to use lots of bling.

Mother's Day Card

This is going to be one of my Mother's Day cards that I am going to give. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the card background. I then used the Garden Green chalk to enhance the leaves. The butterfly I stamped in Petal and then used my blending pen to give it a watercolor look. I then used my waterbrush to fill in the spaces with Garden Green and Baby Pink. I cut out the butterfly and then added some Prisma Glitter in places. I didn't want to overdue the glitter. I then stamped the saying in Garden Green on the Sweat Leaf paper. The stamp set is the March Stamp of the Month "Butterfly Wings."

I feel like this card needs something else but then I wanted a simple card. I tried ribbon and it just seemed like too much with the embossing and the glitter. If you have any ideas please post them. I would love to hear them.

Mother's Day Layout

Wow! Here I am posting again! I know that I have been taking awhile posting stuff but it has been a very busy time around here. I am going to try to do better!

I am all caught up in my son and daughter's albums so I am pre-making layouts for pictures that I know I will be taking. This is a layout that I made for Mother's Day pictures. I really love this paper pack and stamp set. They are both so versatile.

I used the Unforgettable Paper Pack and the Aspiration stamp set. I used the Foundry Bookplates. The colors are Juniper, Cocoa, Sorbet and Blush. Please enjoy!

Here are 3 cards that my Girl Scout Daisy Troop is going to make. They will be making 10 of each card. We will either be giving these to our local nursing home or sending them to the troops

This is a 5x7 card. I used the Unforgettable Paper Pack. I love this paper! I used the Aspiration Stamp set. The colors are Juniper, Cocoa, Sorbet and Tulip.

This is a standard size card. I used the That's Amore Paper Pack. The stamp set is an old stamp of the month that has all different greetings on it. The colors are Cocoa, Tulip and Blush.

I used the Stardust Paper Pack on this card. The stamp set is a really old stamp set called Kid Art Party. The stars were made on my Cricut with the George Cartridge. The colors are: Moonstruck, Honey and Topiary.
